The Hawkettes are an extra-curricular organization that promotes school spirit by providing entertainment at half-time during football games, basketball games, and wrestling matches. The team specializes in pom, high kick, and hip-hop routines. They try to mix it up by performing routines to various genres of music and styles of dance. It is a Fund 80 organization, therefore the girls may participate in other sports in the fall and winter AND also be on the dance team.
Coaching the Hawkettes this year is Kelli Saxe. She was on the UW-River Falls Performance Team in college and was on the all-conference dance team in high school in her hometown—Mondovi, WI. This is her 12th year of coaching dance/cheer. She has coached teams to Wisconsin state competition in dance in the past.
