District Employment Opportunities

As of January 1, 2017, All applicants must create a new account in the new WECAN system. Accounts were not transferred from the previous WECAN website. 

To apply for any position in our district, users must use WECAN.  

1. Only create one account no matter what type of vacancy you are applying for.
   • Enter personal information into the Application Registration form.
   • Don't enter PdC into the "District Name (why?)" field, unless you are a current employee, as you will not be allowed to save your application!  
2. Confirm your account through your personal email.
3. Login to your new account.
4. Fill out the "Standard Application"
   • There are two different standard applications—one for Certified Staff and one for Support Staff. You must select and save the types of positions you are seeking (under Account > My Profile) to access and apply for vacancies.
5. You may upload up to 10 PDF file attachments.
6. Once your account is set up, you are now ready to apply. 
7. Click on the Search Vacancies 
8. Select your vacancy criteria. 
   • Fastest way to search for our vacancies: 
     • type in the "Vacancy ID" provided below or
     • type in Prairie du Chien Area School District in the "Employer" box. 
   • Click the Search button. Results will appear below the search form. 
   • Select the Apply button in the far right column of the results table to begin the application process.
9. Answer the criminal background questions.
10. Submit your application by choosing the Apply button. 
11. Read the warning and submit when your application is complete.
